The battle continues for supremacy as Nissan GT-R is trying to keep pace with the Porshe 911 Turbo. Already, the Porshe 911 Turbo S had a recent upgrade cosmetically as well as performance upgrade of a 530 horsepower engine.
In trying to keep the Nissan GT-R more or equally impressive as the Porshe 911 Turbo S, Nissan plans to up the ante with the engine power to over 500 hp in 2012 model. We have seen modified Nissan GT-R that went well over 800 hp like the Switzer P800 GT-R.
New changes in the 2012 Nissan GT-R will include new aero kit, new suspension and brakes, and a re-tuned 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that will put out over 500 horsepower and 450 lb-feet of torque. Other aerodynamic parts will also include a new front splitter, rear diffuser and a rear wing to keep the Nissan GT-R at bay to the ground during high speed.
Currently, the revised GT-R underwent a new round of testing at the Nurburgring last month in Germany. It is likely that the Nissan GT-R will arrive by early next year.
