The quest for power continues for dominance in the muscle car arena. As if the previous version of the Hennessey HPE700 with 725 horsepower wasn’t enough, Hennessey’s hunger for power continues with the twin-turbo Camaro HPE800 that produces a staggering 847 horsepower. With this much power, one could only go fast and straight, because any turns would sure but the car into a spin, unless you can drive like the Stig guy in Top Gear.
His latest creation, the HPE800 Twin-Turbo Camaro, puts out an amazing 815 horsepower and 788 pound-feet of torque thanks to twin turbochargers strapped to a 415ci stroker motor and a host of other upgrades.
Like always, Hennessey cars usually come in different horsepower stages. If 815 horsepower is not enough for you, there is also the Hennessey HPE1000 version that comes with a twin-turbo 427ci LSX block. It produces about 847 horsepower and 801 lb-ft torque at the wheels.
Just wondering how would the Hennessey HPE1000 Twin-turbo Camaro compare with Switzer P800 Nissan GT-R with 800 horsepower in performance wise. A shoot out of two cars down the track would be very interesting to see.
