2011 VW Jetta Sedan starts at $15,995 in the U.S.

Talk about competitive pricing, Volkswagen today unleashed the all-new 2011 Jetta sedan that will go on sale in the U.S. by this October with a starting price at $15,995. The base model Jetta is not a bare-bone model, it will come equipped with features like power windows and locks, keyless entry, air-conditioning and a CD player. 

The new 2011 VW Jetta gets the new body styling with sharp edges. It is bigger than previous model with dimensions  measured at 182.7 inches long, 57.1 inches height and 70.1 inches wide, and a longer 2.75 inch wheelbase. Although the outside gets dramatic changes, the interior styling of 2011 VW Jetta received subtle changes with plain looking instrument panel, knobs and dials.

The North American 2011 VW Jetta gets the same 2.5-liter five-cylinder gasoline engine found from the previous Jetta model, which will be the only engine available in October. There are also other powerplant options that will be offered after the launch, which will include a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine, a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, and a range-topping 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged gasoline. The entry-level 2011 VW Jetta comes with a 2-liter gasoline engine that produces about 115-horsepower.

All Jetta engines will be mated with a manual transmission as standard and an automatic transmissions as an option. With the new 2.0-liter TDI and 2.0-liter TSI, Volkswagen will also offer the new the 6-speed DSG.
