Chrysler may put the Jeep brand into the pickup market. Jeep had touted the idea back in 2005 when it introduced the Jeep Gladiator concept, and got good reviews from spectators at the Detroit Auto Show. And through a series of concepts, the most recent one was the Jeep Nukizer 715 that was debuted in Moab , Utah, earlier this year. But since the almost-defunct Chrysler company, none of the Jeep concepts made to production.
Now, Chrysler is touting the idea again to gauge the market. As reported by PickupTrucks.com that Jeep may consider of entering into the pickup market, as it viewed by the new Jeep CEO Mike Manley that there is some profitability left in this market.
“That’s a segment that I’m very curious about,” Manley said. “I know it’s had a rough time here in the U.S., but globally it still seems to be an important sector.”
Jeep still mums on whether which pickup concept it will pick for the pickup truck market, but from designs, we think the Jeep Gladiator concept is the winner here for the masses.
