No problem Vincent - you are entitled to voice your opinion! I've seen the Fiesta first hand at one of the test-drives. They told me it should be affordable and comparable to other hatchbacks (around $16,000).

I am sorry Hank that I may have come on a bit strong on that statement, but I just wanted to get my point across that Ford needs to make more of the Ford Fiesta type of vehicles in the U.S during these bad economic times. I applaud for Ford to make the decision to bring the Fiesta to the States. The Ford Escape is a great SUV but it doesn't put out the kind of mpg as the Fiesta (~39 mpg). And for the Ford Fusion, the hybrid version was just only introduced this year.

The Ford Fiesta was "thought" to be here in the States about two years ago. That is why I used the word "finally".

What I am trying to say is that Toyota has the Prius, Honda has the Insight, ...and so on, but these cars are expensive (average $25,000). Hopefully, the Ford Fiesta will be affordable to own.

"Finally, Ford has made some sense in its business model of not to keep on producing gas guzzlers that almost put it out of business."

Where have you been? Ford has been selling Hybrids (Fusion, Escape), and been using the more fuel efficient Ecoboost engines. The Ford Fiesta will just be a new addition to the vehicles Ford has and the direction its been going... Definitely not "finally" sorry.
