Such a wierd name for Volkswagen to come up with for the 2013 VW E-Up!, which will be making its way to the U.S. market soon in 2012. The full electric Volkswagen E-Up! will be in direct competition with the Nissan LEAF, which is now already available in the U.S at an MSRP of $32,780. But of course, after $7,500 federal credit, the Nissan LEAF is about $25,280. So, can the 2013 VW E-Up! compete with the Nissan LEAF?
For starter, the 2013 VW E-Up! is an attractive, cute little car. But of if you were a manly man, you may think twice about its girly appeal. And not to mention its weird name, it sounds like “eat up” or something of that nature.
Pricing for the EV is still not known yet, but the gas and diesel versions will go for between 8000 and 9000 Euro ($10,000 to $11,000). For whatever it’s worth and if the price is right, the 2013 VW E-Up! may be doable in the U.S.
