Ford Racing announced today of three new 2.3-liter twin-screw supercharger kits for the 2011 Mustang to the masses. The new supercharger is Ford Racing’s first power upgrade component for the new 5.0-liter engine in the 2011 Ford Mustang. The supercharger kit was developed by Ford Racing engineers in collaboration with Roush and Whipple Industries.
The new Ford Racing Supercharger 525hp Kit is available as a bolt-on for $7,199 for a matte black version or if you prefer a chrome version, it priced at $7,799. While the Ford Racing Supercharger 624hp Kit is about $7,499 (black) and $8,099 for the chrome version. And the do-it-yourself custom kit, the Ford Racing Supercharger Tuner Kit is available for $6,499 (black) and $7,099 for chrome version.
As reported by Dev Saberwal, Ford Racing’s lead calibration engineer, “After more than 100 hours of accelerated durability testing, the entire Ford Racing package performed flawlessly. Ford Racing performance parts are subjected to extensive testing to ensure optimum performance across a broad range of conditions.”
The first supercharger kit produces 525 horsepower and 470 pound-feet torque. It comes with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty when installed by a Ford dealership. The second supercharger kit produces 624 hp and 536 lb-ft torque with no warranty what so ever. Lastly, the Tuner Kit, you are free to do everything on your own to get to your desired horsepower.
