Chevrolet will be releasing the redesigned 2011 Chevrolet Captiva for the European market in spring 2011. The 2011 Chevrolet Captiva not only gets a fresh look but new engines and transmissions. In addition, the seven-seater 2011 Chevrolet Captiva SUV gets new interior treatment as well.
The 2011 Chevy Captiva’s new design got some of its cues from the Cruze, but the whole package looks similar to the 2011 Mitsubishi ASX. Is this a coincidence or a copy cat? Beside of looking like the Mitsubishi ASX, the 2011 Captiva also gets new LED turn signals, revised side air-vents, and alloy wheels.
Chevrolet hasn’t released interior photos yet, but Chevrolet states that the cabin has been upgraded with new finishes and textures including all-new seat fabrics, an blue back lighting and a new audio system that includes Aux-in, USB-port and Bluetooth connectivity.
As for the powertrain for the 2011 Chevrolet Captiva, it includes of a 2.2 liter turbo-charged diesel engine that is available in either 163 horsepower or 184 horsepower. In addition, a 171-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 258-hp 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engines will be offered as well. The four engines will come standard with a new manual or automatic six-speed transmission. The 2.2-liter turbo-diesels and 2.4-liter gasoline engine will be offered in front-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations.
