Ford released details of the all-new Ford Focus ST, which will be premiere at the Paris Motor Show by the end of this month. The 2012 Ford Focus ST is the in between version of the Ford Focus RS model, and it will go on sale by early 2012 to all markets.
The new 2012 Ford Focus ST is based on the five-door version of the new 2012 Focus, but the Ford Focus ST is supped up with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces about 250 horsepower. The new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is Ford’s line of EcoBoost unit, which replaces the 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine from Volvo. Power is shifted through Ford’s six-speed Powershift dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox.
In addition, it comes with a race-like bodykit to show off its power. The new styling package for the 2012 Ford Focus ST comes a new front bumper with huge air vent, side skirts, a roof spoiler, centered exhaust pipes, and 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/35 ZR 19 tires.
As for the interior, the new 2012 Ford Focus ST gets racing bucket seats, a new firmer steering wheel, carbon fiber trim on the center console, and revised instrument cluster.
