What happens when you take a Lamborghini Gallardo and merge with a F-22 Raptor Fighter? You’ll get the Lamborghini Indomable. The Lamborghini Indomable is a production concept based in the Gallardo and the inspiration of the F-22 Raptor stealthed jetfighter.
The Lamborghini Indomable was developed by Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa and Alberto Fernandez Albilares at the SPD Master in collaboration with Lamborghini. The design cues from the F-22 Raptor were incorporated into the Lamborghini Gallardo. The front-end represents the Lamborghini distinguished features with the radiators located at the center, and the two rectangular intakes provide cooling to the brakes. While the rear end incorporated some of the distinguished F-22 Raptor’s features such as the engine cover that looks like the F-22 Raptor’s invisible weapons bay doors with the typical “Z” pattern. And the glass window with a “Y” shape at the center of the engine bay that mimics the F-22 Raptor’s cockpit.
Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa explains, “Soft transitions between the surfaces with hard cuts are the main design cues. These create the functional elements of the car. The side view shows an abstraction of a folded wing, which gives the feeling that the car is waiting for the action, like a jetfighter before the take off in a carrier.”
In addition to the rear end, the tail light also acts as a wing and integrates LED lights and a large diffuser beneath the car.
All and all, the merger looks astonishing, and hopefully Lamborghini will make it into full production model soon.
