The tour will begin in Southern California on November 13, 2009 and end in New York City on February 14, 2010. In case if you already missed the Southern California invitation, you can sign up here. If you sign up for the RSVP, you will get a bag of goodies at the show.

the auto manufacturing industries have been claiming that plug in electric cars are only a few years away since decades ago. the day when you can go to an auto dealership and own an plug in electric car with cold cash then I will happy. Until then it’s all hype. Boycott buying new cars, and don’t support government bail outs.
Ever notice that the people who are against moving forward into a sustainable future -cannot form complete sentences? Don’t say No to YESterday!Electric autos are a done-deal. 25% of the hardware in a gas engine is there to get rid of wasted fuel turned directly into heat…without which the motor would self-destruct in 3 minutes. That’s a good design? Imagine if we said “solar power produces electricity with no CO2..but it also makes the most poisonous substance on earth” That’s nuclear power.
Well, we shouldn’t argue upon useless topics, instead we should convince our Engineers, Scientist and Researchers to develop such technologies which are usefull for all humanity rather than for a single community or country. The hybrid of electric vehicles are indeed a success, but full attention should be paid upon manufacturing such eletric vehicles which can run longer distances and can be charged in less time, say, one whole night for running such vehicle for a week.
This will never launch…remember what happened to the EV1?????Bullshit gas corps complained and big ass federal government sided with them. It’s going to happen all over again. There has to be “fuel” for a car so that big ass oil companies can survive. I personally can’t wait to see all of them crumble.
My hats off to Nissan for creating finally a 100% Electric Car that hopefully gas companies isn’t going to complain about. This is what the auto industry needs to do, although there just laughing in there piles of money. I don’t own a car yet but if it costs around 20 000 (same as a Sedan class Nissan vehicle) then it shouldn’t be to much of a problem having one.The only problem I see is that the gouvernment won’t spend on installing Fast Charger stations in the country, also winter…
Awesome! Now all we gotta do is start loading them with nickel air batteries or lithium air batteries.
Not everyone lives in the states. And supply and demand will be the one who decides.personally, my next car will def be a full EV if LEAF goes forward. There is no reason at all not to buy one unless I drive over the (current) limit of the batteries. Which is quite impossible IMO in 1 day unless you have free time to do road trips every other day.
