Lexus decided to go on with the world premiere of its Lexus CT 200h F-Sport hatchback at the Australian International Motor Show this week. The Lexus CT 200h F-Sport hatchback is a hybrid model that will be available to the world by the second quarter of 2011.
The Lexus CT 200h F-Sport continues to provide refined aesthetic and performance features to its sport hybrid vision. On the exterior, the Lexus CT 200h F-Sport receives a sportier front bumper together with a honeycomb grille, streamlined side skirts, and a reworked rear bumper that features a diffuser to help the car glides smoothly through the air at high speed. In addition to the enhanced appearance, Lexus also added larger sized alloy wheels with gunmetal finish to compliment the exclusive Flame Blue body color, and it features a more solid suspension as well.
As for the interior, an optional F-Sport badged for CT 200h will be given unique dashboard and door panel trims. Plus an exclusive Lexus CT 200h F-Sport steering wheel, sports pedals, scuff plates, and instrument panel are all added to define the uniqueness of the CT 200 F-Sport edition.
There are no changes to the already efficient CT 200h’s hybrid powertrain. It remains the same with a 1.8-litre VVT-i gasoline engine, an electric motor and an electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission (E-CVT).
The last time we heard that the Lexus CT 200h was around $36,000, so we think the Lexus CT 200h F-Sport will hover around $42,000 at least.
