Kubatech, a German engine software company, just released a brand new Stage II tuning package for the Porsche Carrera GT. The new package offers an additional 48 horsepower and 38 lb-ft of torque to the already potent engine.

The current Porshe Carrera GT is equipped with a powerful 5.7-liter engine that delivers about 612 hp and 590 Nm of torque , but that does not satisfy someone. Realizing that it’s hard to improve looks of the Carrera GT, Kubatech only provides performance upgrade. Kubatech raised the additional power by modifying the ECU and along with a new Cargraphic sport exhaust system. The end result is a Porshe Carrera GT with 660 horsepower and 642 Nm of torque.

The Stage II kit boosted the Porshe Carrera GT’s top speed from 205 mph to 213 mph. Kubatech also claims that the 0-62 mph sprint time has been lowered as well, but yet to release any figures.

The modification takes about a couple of days to complete, and Kubatech charges the package for $14,837 or 10,699 Euro. That is quite expensive for a mere 50 horsepower increase. We will probably see a Stage III or IV package coming in the near future.
