Dodge is taking its brand to the road with the tour of its two newest models, the special edition 2011 Challenger SRT8 392 and the Charger R/T. The tour will begin on November 15th, which will start in Michigan and end California.
Chrysler called it “The Hemi Highway Tour”, which brings the special edition 2011 Challenger SRT8 392 and the Charger R/T to car enthusiats to enjoy. Both cars will be driven by Dodge Representatives, Heather Heughens and Scott Vandekerckhove. The tour will visit a vast range of locations including select Dodge dealerships, Mopar clubs, tuner shops, and car shows.
“These two new Dodge vehicles will make stops at more than 25 enthusiast clubs, tuner shops, Dodge dealers and automotive events across the country,” said Chrysler.
From previous reports, we certainly know that the 2011 Charger gets a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 292 horsepower, but the R/T version still retains the powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. And while the 2011 Challenger SRT8 392 comes with 6.4-liters V8 HEMI engine, which produces about 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
