Honda is bringing a new hybrid concept car to the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show called the AC-X Concept, which seems to compete with the BMW i3 model.
The competition is heating in the “green” sedan arena, and the General is taking no prisoners. GM has just released the new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco with a starting price of $25,995, not including a destination charge. At that price and a great new style, the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco will sure to give other hybrid cars such as the Volkswagen Passat TDI, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid, and Ford Fusion Hybrid the run for its money.
The 2012 Ford Focus Electric is now online at the Ford website’s configurator, and it shows the starting price at a whopping $39,200 before state and federal incentives, plus an additional $795 for destination charges. Ouch!
The all-new Tesla Model S electric sedan hasn’t even got off from the production line yet, and already the all-electric car has been sold out for the year 2012 production run.
Have you wondered of how an electric motor works in an electric car? Well, you are not the only one. GM has released a video to showcase its new permanent magnet electric motor on the new Chevrolet Spark all-electric car. The video gives a lesson in electric motor “101″.
