On June 23 a team of four Ford Mustang engineers, along with NASCAR star David Ragan, will show what the 2011 Mustang V-6’s 31 mpg fuel economy is all about when they take on the 1,000-Lap Challenge, which is an equivalent of 533 miles, at Bristol Motor Speedway on a single tank of fuel.

Whatever it is there for, this is the first time we got a glimpse of a topless Corvette Stringray concept in the street. The photos came from Corvette Blogger show that the Corvette Stingray concept convertible might come to life later down the road.

Rumor that the next Subara WRX STI may get a diesel version, which is due in 2012. Subaru has been touting the idea a few years ago, and now it re-emerges again. According to Autocar, the new 2.0-liter diesel engine will likely generate more than 200 horsepower at about 300 lb-feet of torque. But we know all too well, it will likely get a turbo-diesel engine instead, and that will boost power to around 250-hp range.

GM OnStar and Google have reached an agreement that will let OnStar users search destinations using Google Maps and send those destinations to the Turn-by-Turn Navigation Service in their vehicles. The Turn-by-Turn Navigation feature will be available through Google Maps at the end of June. If you have OnStar service in your GM car, you can access the Turn-by-Turn directions to the destination of your choice wherever you are.
