Cadillac and Cool Hunting today announced the launch of Cool Hunting’s application for the upcoming Apple iPad. The application features exclusive content designed for the iPad to show off the all-new 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe, and it will be available in April 3 at the Apple’s App Store.

Today Nissan finally announced pricing for lease or purchase of the Nissan LEAF, which we have reported last year. The Nissan LEAF is available for an MSRP of $32,780, of which up to $7,500 federal tax credit can be minus to give a total purchase price as low as $25,280.  As for the the leasing price of the Nissan LEAF, it will be $349 per month.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) have reached an agreement on the supply under license of hybrid technology sytem used in the Toyota Prius. Mazda plans to combine the hybrid system with its next-generation direct-injection SKY engine that is currently under development, and was displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show last fall.

Ford and GETRAG Americas, a joint venture, began to built the new PowerShift transmission in Irapuato, Mexico. The new dual-clutch automatic six-speed transmission is produced for small fuel-efficient cars, like the Ford Fiesta, to deliver fuel economy rating of at least 40 mpg on the highway with the convenience of fully automatic shifting.
