Chevrolet Corvette Stringray Concept

The urge is on to bring the Corvette Stingray back  on the drawing board.  The team at GM envisions a Corvette Stingray comeback with new dynamic styling and enhanced technology more than all the iPhone apps put together, well sort of.  The Corvette Stingray Concept styling is borrowed from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie, which has sharp edges and aerodynamic facial like the “Sideswipe” character in the movie.

malibuVcamry2 Chevy Malibu LTZ Challenges Toyota Camry LE Car Guide

GM has been gearing up to boost consumer confidence in the past few years with its campaign slogan “May the Best Car Win” as the car guide for new consumers in the family car market. The ad was very effective in that it extends the 60-day satisfaction guarantee.  Its ad campaign also dare to challenge Toyota’s bread and butter Camry at point blank.  The Toyota Camry has an already established reputation of being a reliable and economic car.  But the Chevy Malibu’s reputation is also getting up there, just not way up there yet.  So what are the selling points for the Malibu to dare take on this challenge?

camarovmustanggt Unfair Competitions Camaro SS versus Ford Mustang Shelby but Wait...

The big question that always comes back to us for nearly 5 decades is “What is better, Camaro or Mustang”?  Well Motor Trend put that question to test again, but this time, it did it with an uneven match up.   Is it because that Chevy didn’t have a production supercharged Camaro SS version available to drag race with the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500?

A Letter From a Disgruntled Camaro Owner?

camaroconver1 A Letter From a Disgruntled Camaro Owner?

What is so disgruntle about this letter, you tell me?  Please GM, don’t pull this kind of stunt again.  Your title of the article is far from the truth.    Adam, you are an idiot if you think that we’re going to buy into this; it makes you and GM less creditable.  Next time just let the press do the talking, and keep your private letters to yourself.  Check out the commons from bottom.

—-I just have way too many problems with this car. Let’s start with the exterior:1. The styling is too aggressive.I’m a pretty passive person by nature and I don’t want the personality of this car to project onto me. The front looks like a snarling animal ready to pounce. Scary.2. The paint is too shiny.I spent last Saturday applying ZAINO to the car and I must have done it wrong because I can’t even tell what color it is anymore (Victory Red, BTW). All I can see is shine and reflection.

Shape Memory Alloy Could Turn Exhaust Heat to Energy, Fad?

Posted by Vincent Van On October - 28 - 2009 1 COMMENT

SMA Exhaust Capture Diagram 300x225 Shape Memory Alloy Could Turn Exhaust Heat to Energy, Fad?This is interesting technology.  Uncle Sam just granted GM $2.7 million dollars of your tax money for the research of memory alloy, which can turn exhaust heat into reusable energy by contracting and cooling the metal alloy.  This energy would be used to power your car seats or radio..etc., really?  Are there not enough car electricity in the first place?  Why spend more money into the research of  a to be outdated technology (combustion engines).  Instead, put that money into good use like electric vehicle research?  No wonder GM falls behind, it is always one step behind in the automotive trend.  GM needs to look farther into the future.  Well, enjoy diagram above if you must know.

WARREN, Mich. — The day is coming when the heat from your car’s engine exhaust is captured and converted to mechanical energy capable of powering your vehicle’s stereo, power seats and air conditioning.General Motors R&D received a $2.7 million federal award Monday that will help build a prototype using Shape Memory Alloy, or SMA, that would generate electricity from the heat in automotive exhaust.

The State of Texas has multiple truck awards  of its own, and  the  Truck of Texas award is the most distinguished honor of them all.  So how come Texas has its own truck award?  Well, according to Mark Fields, president, The Americas, Ford Motor Company.  “Texans know their trucks, and this award is further proof of why the F-150 remains America’s number-one selling pickup.    Ford trucks won the “Truck Line of Texas” award also.  Do we see a pattern here?

Car Alignment 101

wheel alignmentThis is a mini series about car alignment and what you need to know and do prior you bring your car to a mechanic.
