After the restructuring in the “first” third quarter, the new GM posted revenue of $28.0 billion in the third quarter, which was up about $4.9 billion compared to the revenue from the “Old GM” company in the second quarter of 2009 before the restructuring bankruptcy. The improvement was largely accredited to a higher global seasonally adjusted annual rate of 67.8 million units in the third quarter.
Funny car news for the weekend. You wouldn’t believe this rich oil Texan did to a million dollar car Bugatti Veyron. Apparently, he tried to see if the Bugatti Veyron is fast enough to glide over the surface of the water like the Flash. He claimed that he was distracted by a low-flying pelican and jerked the wheel and slided the car into the salty lagoon. From the video I didn’t see no low flying pelican. I feel sorry for the car and hope it is alright.
Audi turns to social media fans to help design its futuristic car that will come out in the year 2030. This is what happened when you got 400,000 fans to help design your car; the result is a chocolate bar like car. This is what you get if have too many cooks in the kitchen at the same time, I’ll say. I don’t know about you, but in 2030 I wouldn’t want to drive such a vehicle. I mean, should we be driving some kind of hovercraft-type vehicle by then instead of something on rubber tires?
Ford Active Park Assist will help you parallel parking if you are pretty much suck at it. The Ford Company just won another award for 2009 “Best of What’s New” for the Active Park Assist technology. The technology helps you maneuver your car into those tight parallel parking spaces. This is the third straight year that Ford has been recognized with a Best of What’s New Award.
The new 2010 Volvo S60 just got a face lift and body as well. The all-new Volvo S60 will unveil to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in early March next year. Production of the sporty sedan model will start in early summer 2010 at the Volvo Cars plant in Ghent, Belgium.
Thanks to the new fuel efficiency and modern design of the Ford Fusion, the sales of the Ford Fusion is among the America’s Top 10 selling vehicles and number 1 selling domestic car. Due to the refined European look of the Ford Fusion, it has gained an all-time high acceptance from import shoppers. But design is not itself gave the sales boost it had, with the new trend in green cars, consumers want to save money and save the planet as well. The Ford Fusion provides such a feature in the Hybrid model, which has advanced fuel delivery system to give the Ford Fusion an estimated of 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

The 2011 Buick Regal is on the prowl this Thursday when GM Buick reveals the Regal sport sedan to customers in the Los Angeles area. The new mid-size Buick Regal sport sedan is based on the Opel Insignia’s design with modern, sleek design that has a European look to it. The 2011 Buick Regal included a turbocharger four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed powertrain that has an estimated 30 mpg fuel efficiency. Most notable is the Interactive Drive Control System that let drivers to select different driving conditions.
