After the restructuring in the “first” third quarter, the new GM posted revenue of $28.0 billion in the third quarter, which was up about $4.9 billion compared to the revenue from the “Old GM” company in the second quarter of 2009 before the restructuring bankruptcy. The improvement was largely accredited to a higher global seasonally adjusted annual rate of 67.8 million units in the third quarter.

Funny car news for the weekend. You wouldn’t believe this rich oil Texan did to a million dollar car Bugatti Veyron. Apparently, he tried to see if the Bugatti Veyron is fast enough to glide over the surface of the water like the Flash. He claimed that he was distracted by a low-flying pelican and jerked the wheel and slided the car into the salty lagoon. From the video I didn’t see no low flying pelican. I feel sorry for the car and hope it is alright.

I don’t know about you, but in 2030 I wouldn’t want to drive such a vehicle. I mean, should we be driving some kind of hovercraft-type vehicle by then instead of something on rubber tires?

2011 Buick Regal is on the Prowl
The 2011 Buick Regal is on the prowl this Thursday when GM Buick reveals the Regal sport sedan to customers in the Los Angeles area. The new mid-size Buick Regal sport sedan is based on the Opel Insignia’s design with modern, sleek design that has a European look to it. The 2011 Buick Regal included a turbocharger four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed powertrain that has an estimated 30 mpg fuel efficiency. Most notable is the Interactive Drive Control System that let drivers to select different driving conditions.
