The team at Chevy has been quietly testing out its 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and the recent quarter-mile test has clocked the muscle car under the 12-second mark. That is impressive performance from a stock car with stock tires, and to be exact, it landed at 11.93 seconds down the quarter-mile strip.

General Motors is touting with the idea of a twin-turbo V6 engine for the Camaro. We saw the twin-turbo Camaro at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, but to get to see it out on the road is a really treat courtesy of Jay Leno’s Garage.

The highly anticipated 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is officially out of the bag. GM has announced its spec along with a starting price of $54,995, including a $900 destination charge.

Today, GM has released more versions of the new 2012 Chevy Camaros along with two Corvette concepts for the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas.
