Back in October of last year, Hennessey released the HPE700 Chevrolet Camaro convertible that has been modified to 755 horsepower and 763 pound-feet of torque using the LS9 engine from the Corvette ZR-1. Just a few days Chevy unleashed more details of its 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, which is without a doubt to take center stage at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show in November, Hennessey Performance follows with its own tuner version as well. This is the year of the sports cars, which Bentley is following and will introduce the 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible. The elegant luxury sports coupe packs a punch with the Flex-Fuel 6-litre, twin-turbo W12 engine, meaning it can run on either gasoline or E85 ethanol. It produces a massive 621 horsepower and 590 lb-feet of torque. All power is transferred through  the ZF six-speed Quickshift automatic gearbox and to all four wheels.

Infiniti announced U.S. pricing on the 2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible, which goes on sale today at Infiniti retailers nationwide. The G Convertible features a number of significant enhancements for its second model year, including a revised interior, upgraded navigation and entertainment systems, and power-folding outside mirrors.

The 2010 G Convertible is offered in two sporty, luxurious models, each equipped with a three-piece power retractable hardtop that’s designed to look as good with the top up as down and an advanced 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event and Lift).

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)* for the two available 2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible models are:

• G37 Convertible (7AT): $44,350 USD
• G37 Convertible Sport 6MT: $46,950 USD

The G37 Convertible Sport 6MT now includes the contents of the Premium Package — including driver’s seat memory system, rear sonar sensors and Bose® Open Air Audio System with noise adaptive technology — as standard equipment.

Every G Convertible comes equipped with a standard 3.7-liter VQ-series V6 with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event and Lift) rated at 325 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The engine is backed by a choice of an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with available solid magnesium paddle shifters or a responsive close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The G37 Convertible Sport 6MT adds sport-tuned steering and larger sport brakes, along with 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and W-rated performance tires.
