Tesla Motors is going mainstream with its full electric cars. The Tesla Roadster experimental car has completed its mission and gone to the museum, and the Tesla Mode S is in the production line at its new auto plant in California. And now the company is planning to introduce a crossover variant called the Model X.
The 2012 Tesla Model S all-electric sedan is closing near for deliveries, but it won’t be quite until the end of 2012. However, the company has just officially announced pricing for this all-electric sedan just in case if you are interested in one. And at a competitive starting price of just around $57,400, it sure does tempt us to get one.
As you may have heard of a recent battery fire on the Chevrolet Volt electric car. GM has to recall to fix the battery problem that was caught on fire during a crash. A formal investigation by the NHTSA has concluded that the cause of the fire was by the leaking of the coolant from the lithium-ion battery pack.
Honda is planning ahead of what its future sports cars will be like, and the company has a pretty good idea with its Honda EV-STER Concept. Soon the world will be limited or run out of gas in 40 years from now, and the all-electric Honda EV-STER Concept sports car will be there to meet the world’s demand. Well, maybe we don’t have to wait that long to see the next-generation all-electric sports car from Honda.
