That is right, you’ve read it correctly. Infiniti is making the 2011 Infiniti G25 available in the U.S. in September with a price tag of $30,950. Seriously, do we need a re-badged Infiniti G37 sedan? I think not. Under the hood is you will get a less potent 2.5-liter V6 engine that produces about 218 horsepower and 187 lb-feet of torque, which is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. What is going on with this Daimler AG/Renualt-Nissan alliance? Mercedes-Benz got the best of Nissan, and Nissan got this crappy Mercedes-Benz’s four-cylinder engine for the Infiniti G37. According to AutoWeek, Mr. CEO, Carlos Ghosn said that the Infiniti G will use a Mercedes inline four-cylinder from Daimler to improve fuel economy and cut emissions. Is he high? If we really want to drive an Infiniti G four-cylinder car, we would buy the Nissan Sentra instead.

In the time of crossover vehicles, Infiniti is not stopping anytime soon to release the full-size SUV, which is almost large as the Hummer H2 and the Cadillac Escalade EXT. It able to carry eight passengers with gas guzzling engine that Infiniti doesn’t want to mention the miles per gallon on this full-size SUV.

Infiniti announced U.S. pricing on the 2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible, which goes on sale today at Infiniti retailers nationwide. The G Convertible features a number of significant enhancements for its second model year, including a revised interior, upgraded navigation and entertainment systems, and power-folding outside mirrors.

The 2010 G Convertible is offered in two sporty, luxurious models, each equipped with a three-piece power retractable hardtop that’s designed to look as good with the top up as down and an advanced 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event and Lift).

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)* for the two available 2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible models are:

  • G37 Convertible (7AT): $44,350 USD
  • G37 Convertible Sport 6MT: $46,950 USD

The G37 Convertible Sport 6MT now includes the contents of the Premium Package — including driver’s seat memory system, rear sonar sensors and Bose® Open Air Audio System with noise adaptive technology — as standard equipment.

Every G Convertible comes equipped with a standard 3.7-liter VQ-series V6 with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event and Lift) rated at 325 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The engine is backed by a choice of an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with available solid magnesium paddle shifters or a responsive close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The G37 Convertible Sport 6MT adds sport-tuned steering and larger sport brakes, along with 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and W-rated performance tires.
